How To Stand Strong in Your Purpose, by Amy Jah

Have you ever given some advice to someone, and you turn around and them dagum things were for you? Don’t you just hate that! lol! 

Let me tell y’all sometimes you have to learn some lessons a few times to realllly learn them! Beginning this whole new venture has been so rich and so exciting and sometimes a little painful. 

By intentionally thinking about and journaling out my journey, I can look back and see where God was really speaking to me and preparing my heart and my mind for things ahead, making things so crystal clear for me.

I want to share a few things with you, that I am preaching to myself (again) in this season. And in doing so I hope it feels like I am coming right alongside you to strengthen you! 

1. You aren’t for everyone, and that’s ok! You’ll find your people and your path, just pay attention.
2. People will hate on you no matter what you do. You can have lots of friends until you start making moves. KEEP MAKING THEM!!!
3. You will be misunderstood, it will hurt, but it’s not your job to prove yourself or convince someone of your pure intentions.
4. It’s not your friend’s or family’s job to support you, honestly most won’t. And its surprisingly sweet when people you barely know see your vision and believe you in. It will be the fuel to your fire, and often times the reason you keep going.
5. Keep doing what you are doing, don’t change who you are to please anyone, don’t adjust your dream to fit their tastes. Keep doing you when no one is watching and when EVERYONE is watching! KEEP ON KEEPING ON!

It might hurt sometimes, baby girl, but trust and believe staying true to yourself will attract the people and the life you really want!
