I Thought of You

To say, organizing this event has been easy, would be an absolute lie.

I’ve worked on this event for months, I’ve hit lots of roadblocks, lots of opposition, lots of no’s and lots of long hours. But you know what’s made it all worth it, the people that are supporting me, the people that are cheering me on, the people that are as excited about this event as I am! Every time I hear the excitement in someone’s voice when they mention the event, it just sparks mine all over again!

But, throughout the last few weeks, there’s been many moments that have tried to rob me of the joy that I have had from the beginning moments of thinking about this event. People are out here people’n y’all, and you know what they say about opinions….

Anyway, what I want to share is my vision for this event. It’s not just a shopping event, it’s not just a day to come and spend money or get a facial, it’s so much more than that! When I thought about this event, I thought about creating something for women that are tired, that are burnt out, that need a day where they can relax and not feel bad about having fun! My vision for this day is a day of laughter, celebration, sisterhood, joy, carefreeness, self-care, self-love, acceptance, friendship, connection, understanding, and the absolute absence of judgment!

We deserve a day like this. Where you can come restore your spirit, play, and not carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.
