Give Yourself and Others Some Love

Hey Friend, do you have issues with people you love? Of course you do, it’s part of the human experience.  In the most innocent way possible my youngest daughter and I have a mini power struggle. Lately, anytime she has been doing something she knows I may not be thrilled about she says “I love Mama and Mama loves me.” You could potentially say it might border on the brink of manipulation. Yes, 5-year-old girls know how to do this well! But, to me it’s a reminder that I need, a reminder from heaven for me really. That despite what she may be doing to aggravate the crap out of me, that I love this little girl with my whole heart and hearing her say this to me immediately grounds me. Because really, it’s that simple, no matter what Mommy loves her. NO MATTER WHAT. Isn’t that what all of us want to know and hear? That no matter how much we have messed up or failed to do the right thing, that we are still loved? Still worthy of being loved and loving others. I just want to take this brief moment to tell you that NO MATTER where you are or what you have done or not done, that you are still very much loved and worthy of being loved.  Is someone you are in relationship with going through something? Just love them through it. I’m convinced it’s the only thing that’s unfailing.
