Opportunity is Calling!

Listen, I know that life is crazy, I know that 100 people might be pulling you in different directions. But let me tell you something, if you are trying to level up and get that money, then honey, you have to be responsive! 

Just like you, other people are busy, and if they don’t get you, you know what? It’s ah ah ah ah on to the next one! We don’t live in 1950 where the pace is slow, and people have few options for services or products. You can get what you want, when you want it, nearly 24/7. 

I had a little rant last week about the lack of business that will one- actually answer their phones/messages/emails. And two, don’t even have their contact information listed on all their platforms. Like are y’all even in business? Do we put out the bat signal to contact you?

Now, I’m not saying you have to be available 24 hours a day, but if you are trying to grow your business and provide excellent service to your customers, then you have to have communication with them! Here are a few tips to help you tackle that message list!

1. First and foremost, before you even begin, check yourself out, online! Make sure that your email address/website/phone number/socials are listed everywhere that you want people to find you!
2. Have a set time daily that you can reach back out to people, try to keep your response time within 24 hours or less.
3. Have a set “housekeeping” day in your business. A day that you tidy up that inbox, return those calls and reach back out to those instagram messages!
4. Once you get caught up, don’t backslide! Vacation is one thing but letting that inbox overflow again is just inconsistency you don’t need in your life, your relationships or your business!
5. Are you doing everything you can to assist current and potential clients and, girl, it still ain’t enough? Seriously consider hiring an assistant, virtual or otherwise. Before I hired the first person in my office years ago, I was absolutely killing myself to do it all! 80 hours a week, and I couldn’t give anymore! I folded and hired someone and the difference it made in our growth was outstanding! A good assistant or sales employee should be covering their salary, plus! Do the math, how many calls are you missing for potential leads that you could have someone handling for you? More money, and less work always makes sense to me!
6. Lastly, etiquette still applies in business. If something isn’t for you, ever or in the present, politely decline and wish them well. It’s that simple, and believe me, that communication goes along way. People remember being ignored, ask any therapist around.

I understand, some people may feel attacked by these tips, but girl, c’mon you know you need to make that money and stop messing around. 

Take a deep breath, grab your coffee and settle in, you can do it!
