You Never Know Where You Will be a Year from Now…

A Short Story for you. The morning of the Bridgerton event, my nerves were wreaked. For what, maybe a lack of tablecloths lol, but my stomach was knotted up, girl! I was in the shower when something just dropped into my spirit.  “Do you remember this time a year ago?”  I was hosting my very first women’s get together for a small shopping trip to Mt Airy. Twelve women showed up on a Friday afternoon to grab a bite and shop, it was a great day. At that time, I had 47 people on my email list, mostly family and a few friends. I was just starting this vision I had of Sugar Mamas, and I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew what was in my heart.  “Now, do you see what you are doing today, almost exactly one year apart? You are about to host 100 women for an amazing event you created. An event that women will come to and feel free and valued and worthy.” An event people paid to come out of their house to attend! How wild!  It blew me away. I have established and accomplished so many things in such a short time, honestly things I didn’t even have a clear concept on until they were forming. I now have a community of over 75 women now gathered together with the mission to succeed, connect and encourage each other along the way. I have over 1,000 women that signed up for an email list, that came from 47! Forty freakin seven, y’all.  When I say this year has been one of exhaustion, unprecedented rocky and rapid growth, painful lessons and finding out who is really in my corner, I am not kidding! But it’s also been one of the best years of my life! I have formed so many powerful and aligned friendships. The support I have received has been unmatched, the lessons I’ve learned so valuable, the worth and value I have found in myself can never be taken away. My life looks so different from 365 days ago, and I am so grateful.I share this story to say, you have no idea what your life will look like in a year! But keep going, baby! Keep chasing that dream and never give up, even when you think you can’t go on.I promise it’s worth it and maybe one morning, a year from now, you’ll have your own shower revelation.
