| Hello, Sugar Mamas community! Shout out to Amy for giving herself a break and letting some of us Sugar Mama’s take over her newsletter! I am Kiley Bach, a professional organizer and designer, and proud founding member of Sugar Mama’s Movement. I absolutely love the holiday season. It’s a special time to pause from the hustle and bustle of daily life and gather with family and friends. Some of my fondest memories are sharing a meal with loved ones, surrounded by the warm glow of twinkling Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. As the holidays approach, it’s the perfect opportunity to start thinking about decorating your home and preparing for gatherings. I know the thought of that can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re juggling work, chasing after kids, and simply trying to make it to the weekend. That’s why I’m here to share some tips to help ease the stress of holiday decorating. I hope these tips will help make the decorating process a little easier and help to put you in the holiday spirit. No matter what your holiday plans are, I hope that you’ll find time to reflect on the blessings in your life, celebrate your accomplishments over the past year, and make happy new memories with your loved ones. | START EARLY AND PRIORITIZE: Begin decorating ahead of time, focusing first on the main gathering areas of your home. You can stagger the other areas in your home over time to avoid getting overwhelmed. There are a lot of strong opinions on whether or not to decorate before or after Thanksgiving, but I’ll leave that one up to you! |
| STICK TO A THEME: Choosing a cohesive theme – whether it’s a classic red, green, and gold or a modern glam style can streamline your decorating process. This not only creates a unified look but also simplifies your choices when shopping for new decor. |
| CREATE A COZY ATMOSPHERE: Enhance the coziness of your home with thoughtfully placed lighting and soft elements like blankets and throw pillows. String lights or LED taper candles provide a warm glow that makes any room feel inviting. Incorporating greenery also adds a festive touch and visual interest. |
